 The Old Post Office is a cosy traditional detached house that sits within a fully enclosed cottage garden. Each of the 3 bedrooms has splendid views of the sea and The Summer Isles. Bedroom 1 has a king size double bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single, and bedroom 3 has a set of bunk beds 3'6" wide. There is a bathroom upstairs with toilet, and a shower room downstairs also with toilet. The sitting room has a multifuel stove for which we provide some wood and limitless coal. There is also a TV/VCR/Playstation 1,and a radio/CD/Tape unit. The house is heated by electricity, we pay the first £10 thereafter charged at cost. There is off street parking for 2 cars. Achiltibuie is a good base for walking, all types of fishing, kayaking, and diving. We particularly enjoy cycling to the nearby sandy beaches. Visitors are welcome to make use of our 4 bikes after returning a disclaimer. A short walk from the house is The Summer Isles Hotel which has a fine restaurant and a public bar renowned for its locally caught seafood platters. Close to the house are 2 well stocked general stores and a post office.
