Goswick Sands is a magnificent stretch of sand, sea and sky which forms part of the Lindisfarne nature reserve, and is home to plants and birds of many kinds.
A spectacular area of unspoilt coastline it stretches from the beautiful Holy Island of Lindisfarne up to Berwick upon Tweed.
The historic port of Berwick upon Tweed is 6 miles from the cottage.
It has good shopping facilities, including supermarkets and also many attractions for the visitor, such as its outdoor market, harbour, walks along the recently restored city walls and the river, and a wide variety of restaurants, public houses and unique shops.
Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens (Hogwarts), Cheviot hills, Cragside house, Hadrian's wall, Farne Islands, for seal and puffin spotting all within reach.
