The Hay Barn is a grade II listed timber frame barn dating from the 17th century; recently extensively renovated. It is in a secluded position at the heart of this beautiful North Herefordshire village, mid way between Leominster and Ludlow.

Accommodation  
  • A jockey door allows entry through the former large double doors leading to a spacious and light living room and dining area. It is beautifully furnished and has a central wood burner for cosy evenings.
  • Leading off the sitting room is a large well finished and equipped kitchen. There is a breakfast table with seating.
  • There is a downstairs shower and toilet.
  • Stairs lead up to the main bedroom which has a king size bed; luxury bed linen and en suite bathroom.
  • The second bedroom is a large twin room.
  • There is a separate toilet and washbasin.
  • Finally upstairs is a quiet, cosy sitting area.
  • The property has full gas central heating.
Outside  
  • Outside there is stream at the back of the property with a sitting area.
  • There is ample parking which is off road.
  • Bicycle storage possible.
Location  
  • The Hay Barn is part of the farm complex of Church House Farm. The Anglo Saxon translation of Yarpole is fish pool and the mediaeval pool was situated in the grounds of the farm.
  • Yarpole is perfectly situated mid way between Leominster and Ludlow; both market towns which are well worth visiting. The historic city of Hereford is a 30 minute drive away; with its cathedral and world famous Mappa Mundi.
  • The village has a Church, award winning Community Village Shop & Post Office, community run Gallery Café in the church and a Pub serving good food. All within an easy walk from the Hay Barn. St Leonard's Church has a separate Bell Tower; one of only 4 in the county, which dates from 1195 when the trees were felled. It is the oldest in the county.
  • The National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Berrington Hall are nearby; as well as a working mill which can be visited once a week.
  • There are several delightful nearby villages, easily visited following the Black and White Trail. The walking routes of the Mortimer Trail and Hereford Way pass nearby.
