The Granary, as the name says is a converted Granary with a tranquil stream running through its grounds, with a water pump in the garden. The house has its own secure storage below for bikes etc. and is detached.
The accommodation consists of: Kitchen - fully fitted with microwave, cooker, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. Large living/dining area. Bathroom. Two bedrooms - one double bedroom and a single room with bunk beds. The property comfortably sleeps six people. All electric and bedding are included at local cost, but please bring your own towels. Oil fired central heating. Sky TV. Wireless access point for internet connection. Outside: There is a large decked patio area, ideal for barbecues on hot summer evenings. Well behaved pets are welcome to join in with the numerous country walks in the area. Also available We have a 3 bedroom Static caravan which sleeps 6 people. Includes bedding, electric and gas, again all you need to bring are your own towels. The Caravan is available for rent for weekend breaks and for longer stays and is sited next to The Granary. Pets welcome. Amisfield is a small village with the nearest pub the Ae Inn some two miles away. There are local golf courses, fishing areas and lots of country walks. Dumfries, a large town full of history is situated 3 miles to the South West where there are swimming and leisure facilities with full local amenities, lots of restaurants, take aways and plenty of activities for the young and old alike. Such as Ice Skating, Theatre and Cinema.
South West Scotland is particularly blessed with a number of sandy beaches, fishing villages and an abundance of castles, abbeys, churches and other interesting buildings to visit - Sweetheart Abbey being some 10 miles away. For those wanting to travel further a field, Glasgow and Edinburgh are 70 miles away and the lake District is 40 miles away.
Ideal location for mountain biking well in the middle of the Southwest Scotland Mountain biking scene with a forest 3 miles away and right in the middle of the Seven Stanes.
Motorcyclists welcome to us as a base for tours of Scotland with easy access into the Lake District.
