The Cottage, Alum Bay House, is a 16th century semi detached stone cottage located between Totland and Alum Bay in an area of outstanding natural beauty. With views over Tennyson Down, the Tennyson Memorial and within 1 mile of Alum Bay and 4 miles of Compton Bay and the Jurassic coastline, The Cottage, Alum Bay House makes an ideal location for a winter break or a summer holiday. There is direct access onto the Tennyson Trail with views back along the coastline to St. Catherine's Lighthouse or alternatively walk up onto Headen Warren with spectacular views of the Needles to the west and back across the Island to the east.
Accommodation The Cottage comfortably sleeps six and a travel cot is also available. 3 bedrooms: downstairs double, upstairs double and twin. Bed linen is included except for the cot. Please note that due to the nature of the stairs they are not suitable for the unsure of foot. Downstairs bathroom with bath and shower over. Comfortable sitting room with colour TV, DVD and CD/Radio. Dining room with circular table and child's booster seat/high chair available. Modern well equipped fitted kitchen with washer/tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and fan oven, fridge and freezer. Oil fired central heating and electricity are provided free of charge. Enclosed garden with barbecue and garden furniture provided. A well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement.
