The Coach House
A hideaway for friends or family members that love space, comfort and quiet.

The Coach House is a unique two storey welsh stone and yellow brick built property, that sleeps 2 people very comfortably, offering abundant space, and comfort. There are two additional bedrooms off a separate staircase, but access to these will not be possible this season. It was built in the 1850's when The Maenan Abbey Hotel (2 mins. walk away) was a gentleman's residence. This building was the original coach house for that house.
  • It is situated deep in the Conwy Valley in North Wales, on the edge of Snowdonia, and has views of wooded hillsides.
  • The area has rivers, lakes, hills and mountains, and a rich history around all the local castles, and in particular the Roman remains in Chester which is worth a visit.

Accommodation
  • There is a newly re-furbished, kitchen, very large oak panelled lounge with TV, downstairs w/c; and upstairs, a large bedroom (super-king, with plenty of room for a travel cot) and a spacious bathroom.
  • Sleeps 2 people very comfortably, offering abundant space, and comfort .There are two additional bedrooms off a separate staircase, but access to these will not be possible this season.
  • Gardens with lawns, are found either side of the house, and the patio area is particularly private.
Location
  • The Coach House is on a 100 yard cul-de-sac private road with only 3 other houses, having easy access to the A470, and is 10 miles inland from the North Wales Coast.
  • It is only 20 minutes drive to Snowdonia and 6 miles to the popular beauty spot of Betws-Y-Coed.
  • The Maenan Abbey Hotel (nearby) offers restaurant, or bar meals and has a public bar.
The owners live adjacent to the property, in 'Y Stiwdio', to the left of the archway. They grow vegetables which you are welcome to ask for, subject to seasonal availability.
