New for 2008 from March will be the lovely Bothy. Located in the grounds of Beadnell House, the Bothy was originally two small cottages used by the gardener and other staff when the main house was a hotel (the main house is now private apartments). In 2005 the original cottages were gutted and extended to form this luxurious 3 bedroomed 2 bathroomed property with private courtyard. - The feature living area combines kitchen, dining and living room all in one with vaulted ceiling, beams, log burning stove and the cottage is underfloor heated throughout.
- The bedrooms provide twin/king size double, double and twin rooms, one ensuite and a large bathroom, bath with shower over. Note there are 3 steps from the living area up to the bedroom area.
Location - The cottage, with two designated car parking spaces, is well situated within walking distance of the glorious Beadnell Bay, close also to 2 pubs and restaurants and local bus services stop at the main gate.
- The Village Pantry over the road provides good food to eat in or take away and the shop/ Post office is only 500 metres away.
We welcome pets and children for which the totally enclosed private courtyard is ideal, getting sunshine throughout the year, and particularly Summer afternoons and evenings.
Accommodation On entering the house you are greeted by a spacious modern oak kitchen which forms part of an enourmous open plan living space with vaulted ceiling. This room also has a log burning stove, and double doors leading out onto the patio area. This area provides an exceptional space for entertaining, cooking, dining and just generally getting together. The dresser is full of table games and the book cases offer fiction and non-fiction titles including reference books on wildlife, birds, flora etc that you may encounter on your visit. The lounge area is a place to relax in - Slouch in the comfy sofas, in front of the stove, listen to radio or music on the Music centre and ipod dock, surf with our wi-fi broadband access if you wish to connect your own laptop (access passwords required please apply on booking). Our 3 bedrooms offer flexibility: one has a super kingsize which can also split into 2x 3' singles, this room has ensuite shower room.
