 The Blue Parrot is an ex RAF officer's house overlooking the Deben estuary in this quiet and secluded corner of Suffolk. It is ideally situated for anyone wanting peace and quiet, but also provides outdoor pursuits such as birdwatching, sailing, swimming and cycling for the more active. - There are many lovely walks, mostly on the level.
- Regular buses run from Bawdsey Quay to Woodbridge and Ipswich and there is a passenger ferry to Felixstowe where fresh fish is available daily.
- Southwold, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Orford Ness and other places of interest are within a short drive.
