Recently renovated self-catering flat for up to five people in award winning Georgian building.

The Bindery Flat is situated in an award-winning historic Grade II listed building in Old Street, above one of the few remaining successful bookbinding and book restoration businesses in the country.

No stranger to providing accommodation for the weary traveller or visitor to Ludlow, the Golden Lion, as it was once known, was one of the leading coaching inns throughout the C18 and C19, hosting political meetings for the Clivites and Reformers. By 1926 though, it had been transformed into a Temperance hotel; subsequently became a cycle shop and until recently was home to a successful antiques business.
In 2005 the present owners bought the double-fronted shop and upstairs rooms, which they have extensively and sympathetically restored. Consequently, the Bindery Flat has many original Georgian features and period furniture, but all the modern conveniences for a very comfortable stay in Ludlow.

Accommodation

The accommodation comprises a beautiful entrance hall with a winding oak staircase leading to the first floor landing; an elegant sitting room; a separate toilet and washroom; a spacious, fully fitted kitchen as well as a stunning double bedroom.
Further stairs lead to a single and twin-bedded room and a well-equipped bathroom with bath and shower facilities.
All bedrooms have new iron beds and mattresses as well as luxurious, white Egyptian cotton bed linen, which fully compliment the period décor and furniture.
In addition there is private, secure, off-street parking for one vehicle.

Due to the age of the property and its layout it is not suitable for young children (under 10) the infirm, or wheelchair users, and it is strictly no smoking and no pets.
