The Thatched Cottage is set in 3/4 acre of lawned gardens and a burn which borders the property. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, it is well situated to explore the Scottish Borders and the neighbouring county of Northumberland. With Edinburgh 40 miles to the north and Berwick upon Tweed 18 miles to the east there is lots to see and do in either direction.

Accommodation  
  • The cottage is full of character with all the modern facilities to make your stay enjoyable.
  • A large living kitchen with its vaulted ceiling has an electric cooking range and a wood burning stove.
  • Conservatory where you can relax and overlook the garden, from here you go through to the larger than average lounge also with a wood burning stove with a door leading outside to the patio.
  • There are two bedrooms - one upstairs with its own bathroom with a shower, the downstairs bedroom also has its own bathroom with a bath.
  • Bed linen is provided; duvets and pillows.
  • Two bath towels and hand towels per bathroom, tea towels also provided per weeks stay.
  • One bag of logs on arrival is included per week and information will be given to purshase further fuel locally.
Whatever you prefer either walking, cycling, fishing, shooting, golfing or exploring the many historical castles, houses and gardens or the stunning Northumbrian coast your only problem will be which one to do first. The area has so much to offer and the cottage is the perfect accommodation to explore the area.
