This 200 year old cottage has been our family holiday home for the past 19 years. It provides relaxing accommodation in the unspoilt village of Hesket Newmarket, close to the post office and shop and a short walk from the award-winning Old Crown pub.

The Northern and Western fells are very accessible with Keswick only 12 miles away. Carlisle, the Solway coast and the Eden Valley are well worth exploring. The local area offers a variety of walks with good bird watching. Guides to the local eating-places, galleries and historical sites are provided at the cottage.

Accommodation

The cottage has one double and two twin bedrooms.
There is a shower room with toilet upstairs and a bathroom downstairs.
There are two sitting rooms, one with a dining area.
There is a colour TV, DVD player, video and a HiFi system.
The breakfast room has a flagstone floor and leads to the kitchen which has electric cooker, microwave and washer/dryer.

Facilities

The cottage is heated throughout by storage heaters, with additional heaters if required.
The cost of hot water, heating and electricity is included.
There are duvets throughout but guests are asked to supply their own linen and towels.
