Plas Tan-yr-allt The inspiring and historic Tan-yr-Allt was completely renovated in 2005 to create the most stylish country house available in North Wales with decoration combining antiques and contemporary design. This unique country house overlooks one of the best views in Wales and is the perfect place to relax in comfort in the midst of beautiful scenery. Built in 1800 and home to the poet Shelley (1812-13) the house looks out over the Glaslyn Estuary within easy reach of Porthmadog and on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park the house is set in 47 acres of wooded Cliffside. Tan-yr-allt is highly adaptable and can be let as either a three bedroom or six bedroom house.
Suitable for family or friends Tanny has a gracious drawing room with open fire and French windows onto a large verandah overlooking the estuary and mountains.
The dining room has a large oak and slate table holding up to fourteen and there is a separate libary/family room with TV, DVD library and games.
Each of the seven bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom - all have modern fittings, six have underfloor heating and there is plenty of hot water at a high pressure however many people are staying.
The fully equipped kitchen and pantry mean you can be creative or you can pop down to the village which is only ten minutes walk and has three pubs, a small shop, post office and a lovely restaurant.
Location Near to the wonderful beaches of the Llyn Peninsula, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and with both Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog Railway only ten minutes away by car Tanny is ideally placed for you to explore North Wales.
