A rather special cottage. An artist's own, 'picture postcard' cottage, renovated and furnished to the highest standards. The cottage is an historic, two bedroom, 16th Century Lakeland farmhouse with stunning views, close to Beatrice Potter country. Situated in a quiet, rural location, just 3 miles from Coniston Water, in a row of four cottages on a private lane, the cottage has its own private parking for two cars and lovely enclosed 'cottage garden'.

Accommodation Warm and cosy all-year round with electric heating and a woodburning stove. A fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge, freezer, ceramic hob and electric fan oven, food processor, juicer, cafetiere, toaster, spice rack and cookery books. A delightful, beamed dining room with fireplace and electric feature stove is the perfect room for a special meal. The cosy, beamed lounge has a multifuel/woodburning stove with TV/video and CD player/radio. There is a selection of books, maps and family games. Upstairs, there are two delightful bedrooms, a double and a twin. A travel cot is available. The bathroom/WC has an overbath Mira Sport shower. Outside - The fully enclosed 'suntrap' garden with patio, summerhouse, tables, chairs and benches is perfect for alfresco meals although there are two Lakeland pubs serving meals within a few minutes walk!
- The patio at the back, with benches, table and chairs, overlooks the Coniston mountains. Ideal for barbecues and watching the sunsets.
Location - Coniston Water is just a 5 minute drive, where the ferry runs regularly from Lake Bank Jetty to Brantwood and other beautiful places around the lake. The sheltered bays are lovely for picnics and swimming.
- Boats and bikes can be hired locally.
- This really is a perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of the National Park.
