 Swallow Cottage is a charming mid 1800's cottage in the White Peak area of the National Park. The cottage is located in an unspoilt conservation village and has wonderful views at the rear to Robin Hood Stride and beyond. It has obtained 4 star ETC rating and is very well equipped and comfortable. Set midway between Bakewell and Matlock it provides an excellent base for walking and exploring from the doorstep and is convenient for numerous places of interest.
The village has a Pub (no food) with a roaring fire and original 1950's decor. Also, a cafe, popular with cyclists and walkers, a Church, Chapel, School, post office and recreation ground. Many information books and leaflets provided at the cottage. Accommodation: Full gas central heating plus gas stove in the lounge. All costs of heating and electricity included in the price. Also included in the price is all bed linen. Towels available. Lounge/diner on the ground floor with gas stove, carpet, comfortable suite, TV/Video/DVD and mini music centre. A stable door from the lounge leads to the rear garden which has outstanding views. Well equipped kitchen including electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and microwave. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with double bed and a single bedroom with 3ft bed, and ample storage space. Also upstairs, modern bathroom with bath, electric shower over bath, vanity unit, toilet and radiator/towel rail. Outside: The rear garden with its beautiful views to Robin Hood Stride has a picnic table, garden chairs and a small barbecue. To the front of the cottage is a paved sunny area with a seat to watch the village go by!
