This beautifully furnished 17th century oak-beamed traditional farmhouse is set in large grounds, with a lovely garden and private frontage to Coniston Water. Thick stone walls, an open fire, central heating and double-glazing throughout make it an excellent year-round holiday venue. It is fully equipped to cater for up to 12 people and has 2 large lounges, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Optional extras include a Games Barn and Rowing Boat.

Accommodation

Sunny Bank Farm has 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms and 1 triple room (3 single beds); also 2 cots. The 12th person can be accommodated either on a Z-bed upstairs, or on a comfortable chair-bed downstairs.
There are 3 bathrooms in total, 2 with showers and one with a bath (and shower over the bath), and ample supplies of hot water.
There are 3 WCs upstairs and 1 downstairs.
The main lounge has an open fire and music system, and lovely view of the garden - ideal for conversation and quiet reading.
The second lounge (with sofa-bed) has a large TV (full Sky package), DVD player and plenty of board games.
The small den (with chair-bed) contains another TV where you may plug in your own games console without disturbing other people!

Outside

The garden is lovely at all times of year, and extensive grounds lead down to grassy banks on the edge of the lake, where children can paddle and fish for minnows.
The more adventurous can row across to the 'Wild Cat' island of Swallows and Amazon fame, and you may bring your own sailing-craft, windsurfers etc.
A wide range of walks are possible from the doorstep, and boat trips on the Coniston launch which stops at the nearby jetty.

Within half an hour's drive are many interesting Lake District attractions, such as Grasmere, Hawkshead etc.
