New Buckenham is a compact, pretty conservation village, steeped in history. Village shop and butcher within 5 minutes walk. The chapel is not far from the main road through the village, so there is some traffic noise, but not intrusive.

Thetford Forest (Grimes Graves, acres of woods), Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens, medieval churches galore, all near-by. Also, within easy driving distance, are Norfolk and Suffolk coasts, wild-life conservation areas, the Broads, Cambridge, Norwich, etc.
