Station Cottage dates back to 1694 and is situated in the rural village of Hognaston, Derbyshire. This stunning cottage has been recently renovated and refurbished to create a luxurious holiday cottage with a wealth of character and charm.

Introduction
  • The location of Station Cottage combines the tranquility of Hognaston Village with easy access to the beauty of The Peak District, the popular towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne, the stately homes of Chatsworth House, Kedleston Hall and Haddon Hall, and it is just a 20 minute walk to Carsington Reservoir.
  • Outside there is a patio with table and chairs to enjoy the peace of the village.
  • And next door but one is The Red Lion Pub where tasty meals and drinks can be enjoyed.

Accommodation
  • Inside Station Cottage there is oil-fired central heating throughout and on the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast table and chairs/bench.
  • The living room has an original beamed ceiling and a tiled floor. There is a large 'L-shaped' sofa along with an upright chair. The original fireplace has a delightful locally-crafted gas fire that adds both warm and atmosphere to the room. There is free Wi-Fi access, flat screen TV with freeview, DVD player and a variety of traditional games.
  • The Dining Room has a large dining table plus chairs, along with a double sofa bed and a flat screen TV.
  • There is a downstairs bathroom with a large shower.
  • The utility room/garage has a tumble dryer, indoor washing line, clothes rack, iron and ironing board, and is ideal for storing your bikes and walking boots.
  • There is a cot (linen not provided) high chair and stair gate.
  • All four bedrooms accommodate a king-size bed. Two rooms are larger than average with antique brass beds, and the other two have the option of being king or twins because they have zip and link beds.
  • There is also the main bathroom with a wooden floor and a shower/bath.
  • Station Cottage is a delightful mix of modern convenience, function and style, along with original beams, fireplaces and antique furniture.
