St Andrews House is a former Victorian schoolhouse, now converted into a unique and beautiful home. It has a stunning thirty foot galleried living room, and comfortable, well appointed accommodation throughout. It is situated in a secluded and tranquil position close to Berwick-upon-Tweed's town centre, nestling against its Elizabethan ramparts. The house has a charming terraced garden and patio areas ideal for sitting out. It has off road parking, full central heating and double glazing throughout.

From the house, you can walk all the way round the ramparts - there are fantastic views along the coast, up the Tweed estuary, and over the town itself. Berwick itself offers a range of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops and a theatre/cinema, as well as lovely walks to the beach or along the river. Further afield, there is plenty to explore - the Northumbrian coast and castles, the Cheviot hills, and nearby Holy Island. The rail station is a short walk away, with regular fast trains to Edinburgh and Newcastle.

ACCOMMODATION
  • Living/dining room about thirty feet long, with original beams. Five schoolhouse windows make the room light and airy, and give views onto the ramparts. Log burning stove, sofas, armchairs; dining area with dining table and chairs. Television, video recorder and DVD, hifi system.
  • Galleries. At each end of the living room are galleries providing additional living space, with a curtained spare bed in one.
  • Bedroom one; double bedroom with kingsize bed, easy chair, built in wardrobes and chest of drawers.
  • Bedroom two; twin bedroom with two three foot beds. Built in cupboards and wardrobe.
  • Bathroom; bath with overhead shower, handbasin and toilet.
  • Cloakroom with toilet and handbasin.
  • Kitchen: fully fitted kitchen with gas cooked, fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave. Door to inner courtyard and gardens.
