We had a lovely week at Southtop views from the Southtop were amazing and very relaxing. We managed to visit a lot of local places and would recommend the forest walk through Puck's Glen.Iona and Mull was also a good visit. We had a warm welcome and the goodies in the welcome pack were great and very thoughtful of Sally. We had a great time!

A lovely break in a home where nothing is missed
and of course with all the conveniences, the excellent view over the Clyde and the lights of Dunoon, wonderful! Loved the fireplace and the local golf course (played three times). we will remember this place and all the attention from Billy Peel!

Stayed as a stopgap between selling our house and moving to Kirn. A splendid welcome from Billy, we could have talked all day. Superb home from home flat just what we needed for a well earned rest. Thank you. Barry and Pauline (isle of Man)

Had a lovely short weekend break at Southtop. Lovely accommodation with beautiful views over the Holy Loch. Very cosy on cold winter evenings to have the logburner going after a days exploring. We enjoyed the forest trails and took the ferry to the Isle of Bute. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. Lesley-Ann, Mike and Harris the spaniel (West Lothian).

 Review July 2013

Just spent 3 lovely days at Southtop, Kilmun. Sally and Billy gave us a warm welcome as we arrived at their lovely modernised upper cottage flat right on the banks of the Holy Loch.
The place was spotlessly clean and contained everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The rooms were well equipped, the bed comfortable but best of all the breathtaking views from every window over the Holy Loch and the Clyde.

It was in an ideal location for us to explore the Cowal area by foot and by car. There was even a regular bus service passing right outside the cottage.
I would thoroughly recommend Southtop to anyone. Very peaceful and quiet - so far removed from all the city hustle and bustle yet only 15 mins from the Dunoon car ferry.

We really can't recommend Southtop highly enough. It was a most enjoyable stay and we will be back.

Lovely stay at Southtop cottage.A very warm welcome from Billy and Sally. The cottage was lovely and cosy and the views were stunning. We did plenty of walking including 10 miles round nearby Loch Eck. This was our first visit to Scotland and we will certainly be back. Thanks for a lovely break!

Thanks for making our first experience of The Cowal Gathering such a pleasurable one. After very long days working on our stall it was great to come back to comfy, cosy Southtop. We hope to see you next year.
