South Beer is a haven of peace and quiet, located away from any roads, half a mile up a private track and yet only 25 minutes drive from the safe, sandy and surf beaches of North Cornwall, wild and wonderful walking on Dartmoor and only 15 minutes from sailing and windsurfing at Roadford lake.

Guests have doorstep access to Beer Mill Nature Trails which cover 45 acres of mixed pasture, newly planted and ancient woodland, ponds and stream, with information boards, wildlife activities and nature hide. Winner of the Devon Wildlife Trust Gold Award for 3 years running plus GTBS Gold Award.

• South Beer is lovingly cared for and maintained to the highest standards with high quality furnishings, all modern appliances and all the character of its many original features: high ceilings, inglenook fireplace with bread oven, log burner and central heating, Victorian tiled hallway, fully fitted kitchen.
• South Beer accommodation comprises 4 bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 twins), upstairs bathroom and toilet, large sitting room, second sitting room (with double sprung mattress sofabed for 2), separate dining room, kitchen, downstairs shower room.

Dick and Elaine Green are personally involved in every aspect of their business and are on hand to help guests get the most from their holiday. The Greens care about the environment and use environmentally friendly cleaning and laundry products, provide organic/Fair Trade/local produce. They are also happy to help arrange and book activities, give local advice and find local information for all our guests.
