Sorrowlessfield Cottage is a beautiful 18th century cottage forming part of a cobbled courtyard, comprising the cottage, farmhouse and therapy suite. The cottage has lovely views to the Black Hill and over the fields. It stands in 24 acres of peaceful woods and countryside, a few hundred yards from the River Leader which is also on the property. Free trout fishing is available on the river. The cottage has been completely refurbished, to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. There are a number of sign-posted walks in the area, one of which can be commenced from the cottage.
The accommodation in the cottage includes: Two bedrooms: 1 Kingsize bedroom and 1 double bedded room. All beds have duvets and pillows and linen is provided. A cot is provided when requested. Living room which has coloured freeview digital TV. There is also a radio and CD player. A wood-burning stove plus log supply makes for a very cosy winter room. Kitchen/Dining room which has a gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster and fridge. Bathroom with bath and electric shower. Oil fired combi boiler central heating and water heating. Utility room with washing machine and pulley for drying clothes above the boiler. Useful for fishermen, walkers and cyclists. Extra toilet beside the Utility Room. Parking beside the cottage. Garage space for bicycles. Garden area. Should you wish to avail yourself of relaxing therapies such as massage or reflexology during your stay, this is available from trained therapists who work in the nearby Sorrowlessfield Centre. It would probably be a good idea to book a treatment shortly before arrival, to ensure availability. You might like to look at our website to see what is on offer.
