Standing by a romantic 16th century castle ruin on a headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea this attractive end house occupies a delightfully peaceful spot on Galway Bay. Breathtaking views of the sea and Burren mountains can be enjoyed from your own private south-facing patio garden with barbecue and garden furniture. Watch the seals swim by at high tide or take a swim in the ocean from your own private access. This recently built house, part of a small exclusive development, features charming decor with beautiful furnishing throughout. An excellent base from which to visit the local attractions: Cliffs of Moher, Lahinch Golf Course, Galway and the quaint villages of Ballyvaughan, Kinvara and Doolin which are renowned for good food and traditional Irish music.

Accommodation

The property consists of a spacious lounge with open log fire, beautifully furnished with soft leather sofas and leather recliners - just the place to relax after a day out! A flat screen tv with satellite channels, dvd player and hifi with cd player and radio ensure you enjoy all the comforts of home. Large picture windows make this an exceptionally bright and airy room and guarantee gorgeous views of the sea, mountains and castle ruin. Sliding doors lead directly to your private patio garden.
The lounge incorporates an attractive dining area with pine table and chairs seating 6 people. A matching dresser contains books and boardgames for those evenings when you wish to relax at home in front of the log fire.
The hand carved pine kitchen contains all modern conveniences such as fridge, freezer, full oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster, coffeemaker. A quaint monkseat and table are ideal for that 'morning cup of coffee.'
Three pretty bedrooms on first floor:
Master Bedroom with kingsize bed - delightfully decorated in shades of the sea, greens and blues, with stunning views and wall mounted flat screen tv.
Ensuite bathroom with full bath, overhead shower, washbasin, wc.
Bedroom number 2 - comfortable twin beds - decorated in shades of apple green.
Bedroom number 3 - comfortable twin beds - decorated in shades of pale lemon yellow.
Bathroom with newly installed pressurized power shower, washbasin, wc and window overlooking castleruin.
The private south facing patio garden is a real bonus for this cottage. Beautifully planted with native flowers and shrubs, the stunning views over the Burren mountains and the sea are simply breathtaking. Enjoy an al fresco lunch at the garden table with chairs for 6 people. We even provide comfortable sun loungers and a barbecue to make the most of those summer days!
