Snug cottage is located in the North of the Island in Lochranza Village, which is reputed to be the most attractive part of the Island, being surrounded by hills and the sea. As well as the spectacular scenery and wildlife, Lochranza offers an abundance of activities for all age groups. For those wishing to explore other parts of the island, Lochranza is a wonderful base from which to visit the Island's many other historic and cultural attractions.

SNUG COTTAGE: Layout and Facilities  
  • Snug Cottage is a charming traditional terraced stonebuilt cottage set amidst spectacular scenery with stunning views over Lochranza Castle and bay (Lochranza Castle shown in photo below).
  • Comfortable and well equipped, the cottage is double glazed and heated throughout with a bathroom fitted with bath and shower.
  • The cottage has a double and twin bedroom with a spacious and cosy lounge, open coal fire and dining area.
  • The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
  • Guests should allow for their electricity costs via a £1 coin meter.
  • Guests are required to bring their own bed linen and towels. However, duvets, pillows and mattress protectors are provided.

Situated a few metres from the shore and with private parking adjacent, Snug cottage is within a very short walking distance from:  
  • Lochranza Golf Course with 5 other golf courses within half hour travel.
  • A hotel which offers snacks and meals.
  • A bus stop providing a regular service for the whole of the Island.
  • Available moorings for boats.
  • An ancient church with Sunday morning services.
  • A studio art gallery specialising in Arran landscapes.
  • A distillery open to the public for guided tours with a first class restaurant.
  • Walking and cycling routes for all levels of ability.
  • Claonaig ferry crossing to the Mull of Kintyre (Crossing time of 25 minutes).
