These two cottages are within the small rural village of Slaggyford in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are plenty of country walks close by including the Pennine Way and the South Tyne Trail over the spectacular Lambley Viaduct. The area is a haven for bird watching, local fishing is available and there are quiet cycle tracks close by. - Alston, the highest market town in England (setting for Oliver Twist), with its cobbled streets, interesting craft, gift, antique shops and its narrow gauge railway, is 5 miles away.
- Haltwhistle, the centre of Britain and Gateway to Hadrian's Wall, with heated open air swimming pool in summer and tennis and squash courts, is 10 miles away.
- The Lake District, Carlisle and Hexham are all close at hand.
- There are many country pubs/restaurants within a 5 mile radius.
- Newcastle Airport is approx one hour's drive away.
Both cottages have: Gas central heating. Bed linen and tea towels included. Enclosed garden suitable for pets, with garden furniture. Peaceful and quiet setting with panoramic fell views. Walks from the door. Short breaks available. Comfortable, clean, quality accommodation. The larger cottage has an open fire (fuel included).
