 Tucked away in a picturesque and secluded corner of Wensleydale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this well presented, cosy barn conversion next to Skelgill Beck is an ideal holiday retreat. The villages of Askrigg and Bainbridge are only 1 mile away, and the market town of Hawes, home of the Wensleydale Creamery, just a short drive away. - The comfortably furnished first floor sitting room, with its beamed ceiling, takes full advantage of the beautiful views of the unspoilt countryside, while underfloor heating in the ground floor bedrooms and bathroom provides cosy and relaxing accommodation for a short break or holiday at any time of year.
- With walks from the door in every direction, and the whole of the Dales within easy reach by car, Skelgill Barn is ideally situated.
- The Barn lies at the centre of the owners' traditional Dales farm, and visitors are always welcome to watch the milking, lambing, shearing etc.
Accommodation
Carefully looked after by the owners to give you every comfort during your holiday, the barn briefly comprises:
First Floor, accessed by the original external stone steps of the barn, the open plan and comfortable sitting/dining room with wood burning effect stove, and well equipped kitchen area.
Ground Floor, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. Shower room with heated towel rail, shaver point, WC and wash basin. Underfloor heating throughout.
Facilities include: - Double glazing and underfloor heating/radiators throughout.
 - Double electric oven with hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, kettle, toaster, cafetiere.
- Colour TV, DVD player, radio, and a selection of DVDs, games and books.
- Automatic washer, iron/ironing board. 24hr drying service available.
- Duvets, bed linen and tea towels provided, towel hire available.
- All heating and electricity included in the rent.
- Outdoor equipment/boot store.
- Private patio with garden furniture.
- Ample parking.
This cottage is let from Friday to Friday.
Short breaks Friday to Monday, or Monday to Friday.
LUKES BARN, which sleeps 6 (Saturday to Saturday lets) is only 200 yards away and larger groups might like to book both cottages to holiday close together.
