The detached cottage is situated in the countryside near Ludlow, famous for its fine food shops, market, restaurants, picturesque castle and Elizabethan style black and white buildings. Newly marked footpaths take many routes in all directions across hills, countryside and forests. The famous Shropshire Way passes nearby.
  The cottage is set 1000 feet above sea level surrounded by magnificent views and heathland in the south Shropshire Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. There are many traffic free walks directly from the garden gate.
Accommodation - The cottage has been modernised (to include wireless broadband) but retains stone walls, exposed beams and curious shelves and ledges
- The 23' lounge contains a woodburning stove (logs included), TV and video/DVD library, book collection and board games provide a relaxing evening.
- The kitchen contains full sized electric cooker with double oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, bread maker and rotisserie.
- A steep staircase leads to two bedrooms with Victorian style beds ready made with towels and flannels.
- The large bathroom contains wc, bath, hand basin and separate electric shower cubicle. Hot water is by an instant electric water heater for bathroom and kitchen.
- The small but secluded cottage garden has a raised lawn area, pretty flower beds and storage for logs. A separate parking area for 2 cars is situated in front of the cottage.
- All electricity, logs, bed linen and towels are included in the rental. When required the night storage heating is switched on in advance of your visit, to provide a warm welcome.
The Iron Bridge and Black Country museums together with Cadbury's World, West Midlands Safari Park, and Severn Valley Railway 20 miles to the east, contrast with open hills, lakes and valleys to the west. Nearby are horse riding, fishing, golfing and countless walks along the Shropshire Way and many other footpaths.
