Perfect for any time of year, this detached three bedroom stone and brick cottage, originally built in about 1850, is set 1000 feet above sea level in a peaceful rural setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The cottage is set in a quiet private lane on the edge of open heathland from which there are magnificent views.

  • There is a kitchen with a full size fan oven, electric hob, fridge freezer, wine cooler, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
  • The 23ft lounge contains two woodburning stoves (logs and coal supplied) Freeview flatscreen TV, DVD collection. BT. WiFi and 3 two-seater sofas.
  • The cottage offers a choice of three bedrooms consisting of two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room, each with flatscreen TV's.
  • Beamed ceilings, woodburning fires and curious shelves and ledges add to the character of the cottage.
  • All electricity, logs, coal, bed linen and towels included.
  • The bathroom is on the ground floor and there are steep stairs to the bedrooms.
Outside  
  • There is off road parking for two cars and a small secluded garden.
  • Clearly marked footpaths start at the gate and take many routes in all directions across hills, countryside and forests. The famous Shropshire Way passes nearby.
Location  
  • Ludlow (5 miles) is justly proud of its fine food shops, featuring local produce from the Marches area, the farmer's market, excellent restaurants, picturesque medieval castle, Elizabethan and Georgian Houses. It hosts the internationally renowned Ludlow Food Fair each September.
  • Further a field are the hang gliding at Long Mynd, walking on Wenlock Edge, exploring West Midlands Safari Park, travelling the Severn Valley Railway, studying the Mappa Mundi, farming at Acton Scott Working Farm, experiencing the Iron Bridge Victorian Museum, tasting at Cadbury World, marvelling at RAF Cosford. All are within easy travelling distance, but not all on the same day!
