 The WOW! factor is extremely high when you turn into the front gate of Sheaig for the first time, to be greeted by a beautifully built stone cottage with much character, and tastefully planted and landscaped gardens around the cottage. Overlooking, and high above Loch Meiklie, your eye is drawn to the extensive view which extends all the way to the towering peaks of Glen Affric, 20 miles distant.
The cottage is full of character and charm that only an original cottage of this nature can give. However, at Sheaig, you will also give credit to modern conveniences as this cottage has all the facilities to make your stay as comfortable and peaceful as you want it to be.
Accommodation and Facilities: Lounge with views of Loch Meiklie and Glen Affric from your armchair. The woodburner provides a romantic atmosphere on dark nights,and is especially welcome during the festive season. Terrestrial TV, DVD, CD and radio, very comfortable deep armchairs and sofa. Conservatory room with cane furnitue overlooking the burn which runs through the garden. Kitchen includes electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge with a small freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, ironing facilities, a full range of utensils and cooking accessories. Bathroom is spacious, with both a bath and seperate shower, basin, and toilet. There is also second toilet and basin. Two bedrooms : Master bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed. A hairdrier is kept here. Second bedroom upstairs in the attic has twin beds, also a bed couch suitable for one person. The stairs to the single bedroom are steep and narrow so are not suitable for the less able. Cot and highchair are available on request. Special notes: - Arrivals, please not before 6pm.

- Full electric central heating throughout, each room has radiators with thermostatic temperature control for maximum comfort.
- Bed linen, electricity, one large basket of logs, (extra logs can be purchased in Drumnadrochit) and towels are included in the rent.
- One dog is allowed free of charge, but owners, please note that there are farm livestock in the area around the cottage, but the garden is well fenced.
- A good housekeeping deposit may be requested.
- The owner's daughter and family live in a small cottage adjoining Sheaig Croft.
Geographically situated to provide the perfect place for touring the Highlands. Beauly, Inverness, Fort Augustus, Fort William, Glen Affric. Aviemore and Skye are all very easily accessible by car. The Steadings local pub/restaurant is just 2 miles from your holiday cottage, and Drumnadrochit only 5 miles has an excellent choice of cafe's, restaurants, bars, Nessie exhibitions and shops. Also a visit to the famous Urquhart castle is not to be missed.
