Shandor Cottage, located at the seafront within Annalong village only yards from the historic harbour, gives you a fantastic way to enjoy a tranquil and relaxing holiday away from it all. Originally built in the 1800's as a fisherman's cottage it is an attractive single storey cottage, recently refurbished to a high standard to provide bright and spacious accommodation with all of today's conveniences. - Annalong (which means "ford of the ships") is a small fishing village situated to the south-east of the Mourne Mountains, an area of outstanding natural beauty and one steeped in history.
- The cottage therefore provides an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area which is full of beautiful walks, scenic drives and outdoor activities.
- Annalong approximately a one hour drive from Belfast and 1 hour 30 minutes from Dublin is situated on the edge of the beautiful rugged Mourne coastline only 7 miles from Kilkeel and Newcastle.
It is the ideal base with its idyllic historic setting to explore this "Area of outstanding natural beauty" offering everyone an endless variety of activities from leisurely walks along the beautiful shore, forest parks, Silent Valley, swimming, boating, sailing, fishing, golfing, horse riding, to diving, surfing, cycling, mountain biking, hill walking and mountain climbing.
Annalong village has a good variety of local entertainment, bars restaurants and shops.
