 The Cottage is approximately half a mile from the ferry slip and two miles from the little town of Millport which has an excellent range of shops, bank, Post Office, restaurants, hotel and several public houses! Buses to the ferry and Millport stop at the garden gate at request.
The two semi detached cottages were built of local red sandstone in 1853 and were opened by a local worthy together with brass-band! They were saved from derilection by John and Mairi Elliott, who began a programme of restoration fifteen years ago.
The cottages with their landing jetty and modern facillities are now fully restored. The holiday cottage is very private, with its own car park and secluded garden to the rear. The open fire has been retained in the dining room and a log burning stove has been fitted in the lounge. There is full central heating throughout the cottage and the accommodation is suitable for the less mobile.

Ground Floor Lounge - a very comfortable room with log-burning stove, TV, video player, tape-deck, disc player and radio. Kitchen - electric cooker with ceramic top, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, ironing facilities, breakfast table, crockery, pans, etc. Shower room - electric shower, vanity unit, toilet. Dining room - seating for eight, open fire, television, selection of board games. First Floor Bedroom 'a' - 2x3' divans with duvets, wardrobe, bedside table and sea view. Bedroom 'b' - 2x3' divans and 3' bunkbeds all with duvets, large wardrobe, bedside table and sea view. Bedroom 'c' - double divan, wardrobe, chest of drawers, sink set in vanity unit etc. Garden view. Toilet with sink. Outside Front and back porches. Good sized private gardens to front and rear. Private car park. Patio table and chairs. Facilities Prices are inclusive of oil-fired central heating and hot water. If required, coal and logs for the open fire and stove can be purchased locally. Although Duvets and Pillows are provided, bed linen and towels are not so please ensure you bring enough with you for your stay.
