Staithes is a atmospheric picturesque fishing village with its cobbled streets, higgledy piggledy cottages and a maze of alleyways. Many artists are drawn to this area by its outstanding natural beauty and for 30yrs from 1880 a collection of artists now known as 'the Staithes Group' were drawn to this village by its picturesque views, its characterful people and its quaint customs.

It has a natural harbour with a small sandy beach and is surrounded by breath taking scenery.
Staithes is also an ideal base for walking fishing or exploring with Whitby 10m, Scarborough 30m, York 48m and the beautiful North Yorkshire National park on the door step, The Cleveland Way also passes through the village.
Staithes is an ideal place for a traditional family holiday, break away with friends or a romantic break.

Safe Harbour offers quality accommodation and is situated in the heart of the village seconds away from the village shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and one minute from the harbour and beach. The cottage has been upgraded without loosing any of its charm or character and is well furnished and equipped.

Sorry smoking is not allowed in the cottage.

Fuel not supplied for open fire but can be bought locally.
