 Roxburgh Barns is a 500 acre arable farm situated two miles west of the Border town of Kelso. The rivers Tweed and Teviot are only 5 minutes walk from the cottages. Fishing is available by permit.
Kelso is a beautiful town, famous for its Britain in Bloom Awards. It is very central for visiting all the Border towns, Abbeys and stately homes. We are also half an hour's drive to the east coast and one hour's drive from Edinburgh.
Keepers Cottage This cottage comfortably sleeps 4, and a cot can be provided. Ground Floor: Sitting room with open fire (in winter only), logs and coal are provided, kitchen and bathroom. First Floor: 1 double and 1 twin bedded room. Teviot and Tweed Cottages These warm, comfortable and homely terraced cottages with magnificent views of the rolling Border country can each accommodate up to 5 people. In winter the sitting rooms have welcoming open fires, making a cosy retreat outside the summer season. Ground Floor: Sitting room with open fire (in winter only), logs and coal are provided, kitchen, bathroom with electric shower and single bedroom. First Floor: 1 double and 1 twin bedded room. A cot can be provided. Services: The cottages are well equipped with full central heating and all modern convenienes; colour TVs and DVD's/videos, automatic washer/dryers, microwave ovens. Cooking is by electricity. All beds have duvets and full bed linen (including towels) is included in the price.
Grocery parcel on request. Babysitting can be arranged. Private parking at each cottage for 2 cars. Each cottage cottage has a fenced picturesque garden with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the country air. Dogs are accepted only by prior arrangement and must be kept under strict control at all times. Private water supply.
