The unspoiled tranquil valley of Ennerdale is an ideal starting point for hundreds of walks - from gentle lakeside strolls to energetic mountain hikes. Ennerdale is also an excellent base for rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, pony trekking and quad biking.

The nearest village Ennerdale Bridge has a general store and two pubs serving excellent food and real ales. The market towns of Cockermouth and Whitehaven are only a short distance away and the popular town of Keswick is half an hour's drive away.
