 Roseacre Cottage is a delightful traditional cottage built in 1824 and restored and equipped to the highest quality. It is situated in a cobbled Georgian square just across the road from the extensive 'Green' adjacent to the sea. The sea view is beautiful, looking across the Solway Firth to the Scottish Hills. Allonby is famous for its fabulous sunsets.
Accommodation The cottage has two bedrooms: one large double and a twin, both of which have original fireplaces. It has a very cosy living room and very large farmhouse kitchen. The most recent addition is a luxury bathroom complete with whirlpool bath. It also has digital TV, video, DVD, CD player plus TV/ video in both bedrooms. Outside - At the rear of the cottage is a delightful private walled garden.
Location - The village is just a short drive to the heart of the Lake District (30 minutes to Keswick) and is an ideal centre for touring the Western Lakes.
- There is an inn serving good value food and traditional ale within 100 metres and two village stores.
