Rose Cottage is an old stone cottage in a tiny, peaceful hamlet on the edge of the Cheviot Hills. It has a wonderful rural setting with magnificent views across the Glendale Valley. The small market town of Wooler is just a mile away.
The house is furnished and decorated to a high standard.
There is a traditional sitting room, a sun room with a dining table that looks over the garden and the valley, two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other very small one with two singles + 2 folding Z-beds. A modern kitchen (including washing machine and dishwasher) and bathroom, and access to a tumble drier.
There is also a large safe garden and off road parking. An open log fire and good electric heating make this ideal for a spring or autumn break as well as a family holiday.
Rose Cottage is 12 miles from the nearest part of the unmatched Northumberland coastline, Holy Island, Bamburgh, beaches, golf courses, castles, bird watching, horse riding and fishing. 16 miles from the Duchess of Northumberland's Alnwick Castle Garden.
Close to the Scottish Border, the area is rich with English and Scottish country houses and castles open to the public.
There is horse riding, golf, fishing and bird watching close by. The cottage is on the edge of the National Park and half a mile from the long distance footpath - St Cuthbert's Way. You can walk the Cheviot hills from the front door.
