The Rookery is a small group of 3 self catering cottages situated very close to the centre of Ambleside, in the heart of The Lake District. This property (Number One) provides comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation for up to 5 people in a fabulous setting.

The cottage was built in 1988 and sits beside the mountain beck, Stock Ghyll. The tree lined banks and whitewater of Stock Ghyll provides a beautiful backdrop, which looks beautiful from the balconies and patio windows off both the living room and main upstairs bedroom.

A well behaved dog with responsible owners is welcome by arrangement.

Situated in quiet cul-de-sac offering privacy, security, no passing traffic and easy parking.

From the door of The Rookery you can choose from an enormous variety of walks, ranging from a 5 minute stroll to the spectacular waterfalls of Stock Ghyll to a full day's hike around the high mountain ridges of The Fairfield Horseshoe.

Ambleside offers great all year round Lakeland holiday charm, with a wide variety of excellent eating, drinking, shopping and entertainment facilities.
