 The Rookery is a small group of 3 self catering cottages situated very close to the centre of Ambleside, in the heart of The Lake District. This property (Number One) provides comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation for up to 5 people in a fabulous setting.
The cottage was built in 1988 and sits beside the mountain beck, Stock Ghyll. The tree lined banks and whitewater of Stock Ghyll provides a beautiful backdrop, which is put to good use with balconies and patio windows off both the living room and main upstairs bedroom.
A well behaved dog with responsible owners is welcome.

Living room with patio window and balcony. Family bathroom with bath and modern electric shower. Colour TV, VHS video player, CD player. Telephone (incoming calls only). Electric oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine with tumble dryer. Electric heaters in each room and electric log effect fire in lounge. Fold away high chair and removable child safety gates on stairs. Outside patio area with seating, offering privacy and views of Stock Ghyll. Private parking for 2 cars immediately beside the cottage. The house uses electricity for heating and cooking - cost is included in tariff. Very easy, short walk into centre of Ambleside with many facilities and great all year round holiday charm. Situated in quiet cul-de-sac offering privacy, security, no passing traffic and easy parking. From the door of The Rookery you can choose from an enormous variety of walks, ranging from a 5 minute stroll to the spectacular waterfalls of Stock Ghyll to a full day's hike around the high mountain ridges of The Fairfield Horseshoe.
Ambleside offers great all year round Lakeland holiday charm, with a wide variety of excellent eating, drinking, shopping and entertainment facilities.
