 Lus-na-Gaoithe is a newly built cottage is set in a quiet side road at Gorthleck just a couple of minutes walk from Loch Mhor and about five miles from Loch Ness. Available all year, it has full oil fired central heating and a log fire in the lounge which is a real bonus, especially when the snow is floating down outside! The cottage is immaculate and very clean so you will be able to start your holiday as soon as you arrive!
This is a magical place to spend a winter holiday with lots of walks from the doorstep, from a woodland wonderland to a mountain expedition. Just across Loch Mhor is the vast Monadliath mountain range providing good hill walking for the hardy. You are welcome to bring your dog to Elfe - who will for sure just love all the walking in the area. Walking and cycling along the lanes, through the woods or along the loch shores, here in Stratherrick on the south side of Loch Ness, our true Highlands of Scotland can be seen and enjoyed without crowds. The fabulous views from Suidhe Chuimen viewpoint on the road to Fort Augustus and the mountain vistas towards Glen Affric are quietly waiting here for you.
Accommodation and Facilities  Lounge includes SKY TV (basic package) DVD, video and hi-fi. Pay phone. A real log fire is a highlight here and provides instant atmosphere. Kitchen has an electric cooker, hob and grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Adjoining utility room with a washing machine and laundry facilities, including tumble dryer, an iron and ironing board. There is a separate area within the kitchen for dining. Bedrooms: One double en-suite master bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. A cot and high chair are available if required. Main bathroom has a shower, shaving point and heated towel rail. Oil fired central heating. Towels, bed linen, electricity, oil and logs for the fire are included in the price. Off road parking for 3 cars. Garden furniture. There is a ramp for wheelchair access. Secure garden for dogs to the front of the cottage.
