Welcome to our 'home from home' on Exmoor. Riverview is a three bedroom cottage in Withypool, facing south across the River Barle and over the wild moorland of Withypool Common. We often use the cottage ourselves between lets so it is a 'home-from-home'.

• Living room and dining area. There are two, three-seater settees and an easy chair around the large log burner. Logs are free and can be found stacked at the side of the house. There is TV and DVD player. The window to the right has views across the river to the common.
• Utility area with external access from the side of the house. This area has a tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
• The kitchen area features electric cooker, toaster, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine etc, and is fully equipped for up to five persons.
• Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single) and a bathroom with toilet.
• The double bedroom features a 4'6" bed with duvet. There is a wardrobe and dressing table. There are beautiful southerly views from this room.
• The bathroom features a bath with power shower over, wash basin, toilet, airing cupboard.
• The twin bedroom has two 3' single beds, a wardrobe and a wash basin. There are views to the rear garden.
• The single bedroom has a 3ft single bed and storage shelves. Lovely southerly views.

Outside:
The cottage has its own parking in front of the house, where there is also a picnic area overlooking the River Barle. There is also a small, lawned rear garden for sunbathing etc.

Facilities:
We use the cottage as a 'home from home', so there is everything you would expect to find in a normal home: 

• The beds have pillows and duvets. Bed linen and towels provided.
• Heating: There is a log burner with free logs in the living room. This is quite capable of heating the entire house on a cold summer evening. There are two storage heaters which we have on in the spring and autumn. These are included in the price.
• Electricity is by one-pound coin meter.
• There is a cot and a high chair in the cottage for youngsters.
• We do not allow pets.

The cottage is available throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year. Short breaks are possible in the low season.

Location:  

• Riverview cottage is just a minutes walk from Withypool village shop, which stocks most provisions including fresh meat, vegetables and dairy produce. It also sells newspapers, beers and wines. The shop also has a Tea Room.
• Another minute's walk brings you to the Royal Oak Inn. This famous old Exmoor Inn serves top quality lunches and dinners and has a good selection of ales including Exmoor Ale from the brewery in nearby Wiveliscombe.
• Withypool is an ancient village in the centre of the Exmoor National Park in Somerset.
• The dramatic coastline to the north is about 30 minutes drive across some of the most beautiful scenery in England. There are sandy beaches, high cliffs clad in ancient oak woodland, heather moorland and deep combes. Wild ponies and red deer roam freely.
