(31.4.11)We had a wonderful and remarkable experience in Isle of Skye.  We enjoyed staying at Riverview Cottage.   It is extremely beautiful having each and every facility.  Thanks so much for everything. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Our stay was wonderful.  We will surely tell others to visit this place.  The view and sunset are amazing.  Thanks Sylvia. (26-29.6.11)We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.  We managed to visit most parts of Skye and saw some wonderful sxcenery in clear weather.  It must be very relaxing to live here away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The castles and gardens are very nice and we saw dolphins playing in Broadford Bay.   We also congratulate you on the very high standard of the facilities you provide and we will happily recommend here to all our friends.  Avril and Alan Moorhouse, Colin and Andrea Moorhouse, Dublin and Glasgow.

(2.7.11-9.7.11)We had a wonderful week here in Ord.  The weather has mostly been kind to us and the location couldn't be better - sunsets to die for! Sylvia has thought of absolutely everything to make the cottage a real home from home - it's fantastic to get accommodation of such high quality.  Norman thank you so much for the use of your boat and for the fish - it made a great holiday even better! We hope to return again. Colin, Karen and Calum MacLure, Aberdeen.

(9.7.11-16.7.11)Very comfortable and convenient cottage and lovely weather.  Good brown trout fishing at Loch Dhughail.  Eating at Kinloch Lodge and Three Chimneys at Colbost - this definitely has the edge and better value but a bit far away. Lasine and Larry, Norwich.

(16.7.11-23.7.11)Very comfortable stay.  The cottage had everything we needed.  My dogs were welcomed and had a great time.   Wildlife was wonderful.  Best of all our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Anne, Lois and Rose, Kinross.

VISITORS' COMMENTS 2012

(6.4.12-9.4.12) Thanks so very much for letting us stay here.   Even though the weather can be a bit changeable we still enjoyed it.  We enjoyed pleasant walks to the river and there were beautiful sunsets.  This cottage was very warm and comfortable.  It has everything you need (even a hair dryer).   I think my family and I had a really relaxing time here and we hope to come again. Simon, Ruth and Elizabeth and Elizabeth's grandma, Worcester Park.

(10.4.12-13.4.12) We had a great stay in your lovely cottage.   It had everything we needed and the surroundings are beautiful.   Thank you very much. Paul and Jasper, The Netherlands.

(04.05.12-11.05.12) Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome.  Had a lovely week. Weather held up and made a great week for walking and relaxing. Can't wait to come again. Thank you sylvia for your hospitality. June, Martin and Alison, Chesterfield.

(02.06.12-09.06.12)Had a lovely sunny week! Enjoyed days out in Portree, Plockton and Loch Ness. Elgol is beautiful and we really enjoyed the Mistly Isle Boat Trip - the children got to steer the boat. Take a picnic as there is nothing on the island apart from breathtaking views. Had a lovely time in Riverview.  great view and very comfortable. Thank you very much Sylvia and Norman for your hospitality.   A very relaxing week had by all. Lee, Ali, Jean, Paul, Hampshire.

(16.06.12-23.06.12) A lovely week where sylvia has thought of everything down to dog bowls in case yours have been forgotten, which ours had. Beautiful island and lovely weather. Many thanks. Steve, Lorraine, Ethan and Henry the dog, Chilterns.

(18.07.12-24.07.12) Sylvia and Norman - we spent some wonderful days in your cosy cottage having this great view of Loch Eishort and all the sweet animals.   Within this short time we discovered some parts of Skye (the sunshine helped us on the first days but in fact there's no ad weather anyway) but the surroundings of Ord are the most beautiful.   Many thanks for your warm welcome.   see you again asap! Uta, Mija and Thomas, Dresden and Hamburg, Germany.

(28.07.12-04.08.12)A big thank you to Sylvia for a lovely welcome to riverview Cottage.   We had a great week and our girls Lauren and Lily loved the scenic views and walks and best of all feeding the chikckens and spotting all the animals.  There is so much to do on the island.  For children we found a lovely woodland walk near the ferry. A long walk to the beach at the South of sleat is worth it if the weather is nice (great beach at the end). Kinloch offers another lovely walk close by. Portree is a lovely town with coloured houses and a nice walk round the bay. Loch Ness and fort augustus is very appealing for a stop off and Nessie spotting (about 90 mins away). We did the Fast Boat Trip - Aquaxplore in elgol one afternoon and we spotted Sea Eagles, Puffins, Dolphins and loads of seals before stopping off on the islands of Canna and Rum (a great experience but wrap up warm). Yet another lovely drive is the mountain pass across Applecross about an hour away (only do if the weather is clear - it's a long way up with no u-turns). We found walkinghighlands a great website for information but most walks are tough for kids so be aware. So much to do and even time for a fantastic sunset from the decking area with a glass of wine - which we have on camera to treasure lovely memories of our first and hopefuly not last visit to Skye. Julie, Rob, Lauren, Lily and Bonnie the Cocker Spaniel, West Midlands.

(18.08.12-25.08.12) Lovely property with everything you could wish for. Weather patchy but good for my hobby photography. Wonderful skys and dramatic lighting at times.   All in all most enjoyable week.   A big thank you to Sylvia. Noel, Linda and Monty, Thatcham, Berkshire.

(26.09.12) Thanks Lisa for suggesting your parents' holiday home. One night was too short a stay. Stags on the hill last night were awesome. Haven't been back to Skye since 2001. Visiting our old haunts. Love the kitchen. Wanted to dismantle it and take it home!!! Janet and David, Chawton, Hampshire.
