Riverview Cottage is an idyllic place for up to 4 + cot. Feel the homely nature of this truly Scottish cottage with its open fires and original features. Enjoy the 40 metre south facing garden with its picnic table beside its own trout stream; it is a haven for wild birds including pheasants. If you decide to explore further than the cottage, step out into the interesting and historic village of Kirkmichael and experience the surrounding countryside. This is a unique holiday home in the heart of Scotland.

Accommodation  
  • Just refurbished to a high standard the cottage has a double bedroom, twin bedroom, dining room, lounge with bed settee, kitchen and bathroom all centrally heated.
  • The kitchen is comprehensively equipped.
  • There are open fires in the lounge and dining room, logs and coal are provided.
  • Telephone is provided for incoming calls.
  • The original range still exists - use the toasting fork to toast scones.
  • TV, DVDs, CDs, books and games provided.
  • There is fishing tackle if you decide to try your luck at the bottom of the garden.
  • Bikes available and free trout fly fishing lesson included and available on request.

Location  

  • Situated in the highland village of Kirkmichael, the cottage is 2 minutes from the local village shop/post office and there are three inns serving food.
  • Pitlochry (with its direct rail link to London) and Blairgowrie are 12 miles, the city of Perth is forty-five minutes away and Glasgow/Edinburgh airports are two hours by road.
  • Locally there are wonderful gardens, castles, whisky distilleries, great shopping and much more.
  • Golfers have 40 courses in Perthshire with Rosemount close by and Gleneagles about an hour away.
  • For fishermen, Tayside contains many magnificent rivers large and small.
  • Walking, cycling and wildlife facilities are in abundance.
  • Free fly fishing lesson and bicycles available at the cottage by arrangement.
