Location

The cottage is next to the Red Lion Inn, a quiet country pub, and near to the Fox and Hounds which serves excellent food.
The village post office/shop is 200 yards away.
Public footpaths lead almost from the door into the surrounding countryside and down to the River Tees (10 minutes walk). There are walks for all abilities in the immediate area and beyond.
The area is also perfect for cycling, either on the roads or mountain biking.
Cotherstone is close to the busy market town of Barnard Castle, with the famous Bowes Museum, a good range of interesting shops, and all the amenities you may require.
