Accommodation
  • All of the bedrooms are individually styled, with 5 of the 6 bedrooms having lovely views over the loch.
  • Red House Dornie's large and richly furnished dining room and ample outdoor spaces make the house ideal for large groups, family gatherings and especially celebrations.
  • The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cater for a large group, and we also have a separate laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Location
  • The house faces the Isle of Skye and is a 5 minute stroll from the world famous Eilean Donan Castle. It is situated in the village of Dornie, where three lochs meet, Loch Long, Loch Alsh and Loch Duich.
  • It's 9 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye bridge, 11 miles from picturesque Plockton and an stunning drive away is Applecross.
  • Red House Dornie is perfectly located for outdoor pursuits - hill walking and climbing in Kintail and the Cuillin range, mountain biking, sailing and fishing or maybe scuba diving in the clear West coast waters. Or you may choose to simply relax in the garden overlooking the loch or in front of the open fire.
  • Wildlife is abundant - we regularly see otters and seals in the loch as well as the resident herons, wading birds and buzzards. You might even be lucky enough to see a pine marten or golden eagle.
  • Dornie is a pretty coastal village with a traditional pub and a hotel, both serving evening meals. There is also a post office and general store and a well-stocked outdoor shop. All are within easy walking distance of the house.
