The peaceful cottages lie on opposite sides of a farm courtyard and were originally outbuildings of the Plas Cilybebyll estate, which has a recorded history back to the 14th century.

Bwthyn Y Saer (Carpenters Cottage - photo above) sits on the bank of the picturesque River Clydach and was once a carpenters workshop.

Hafod Y Wennol (Swallows Summer Dwelling), renovated in 2002, originally served as a stable and coachhouse.

The cottage is equipped with a stone fireplace, WOODBURNING STOVE, original pine beams and traditional Welsh furniture.

High hills of pennant sandstone rise to 1371 feet behind the cottage, providing a striking background to an idyllic scene. Surrounding farmland includes beautiful oak woodland, mountain streams and hillside areas with wonderful views of Swansea Bay and Brecon Beacons.
