Pittenweem and the East Neuk
Pittenweem lies in the heart of the East Neuk, being the middle of its five picture postcard coastal towns (Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie). Between them they offer a multitude of historic sites as well as many cultural and leisure pursuits to suit all tastes. The Fife Coastal Path passes in front of the house while the area abounds with sandy beaches.
Pittenweem remains Fife's most vibrant fishing port and you can see prawns, crabs and lobsters landed at the fishmarket. literally yards from your front door.
The East Neuk also lies close to historic St Andrews and the many championship golf courses for which the region is famous. St Andrews is a short 15 minute drive away, while the cities of Dundee and Perth can be reached in 30 minutes and one hour respectively. There is a wide choice of restaurants and pubs in the area, including several which have been acclaimed "Best in Scotland".
