Dolgellau lying at the foot of the magnificent Cader Idris is the southern gateway to Snowdonia and is an ideal touring centre. Beaches, mountains, and hills are all at hand with good walking, climbing, mountain biking, cycling, fishing and riding. Or you could just take things easy and have a restful break.
Pen Y Maes which means "Head of the Meadow" in Welsh, is a charming 19th century stone end of terrace cottage situated in a quiet street within 2 minutes walk of the hills and the town centre. Nicely presented the cottage has a WTB 5 star rating:  - Comfortable lounge with TV, DVD, video and sound system, 'living flame' fire.
- Beamed dining room has an additional electric stove effect fire.
- The galley kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker, washer/dryer, refrigerator and microwave.
- Gas central heating.
- Bathroom has a hand-held shower.
- Two doubles (one king-size with TV) and two singles on second floor with brass bedsteads one with TV/video.
- Linen provided but please bring your own towels.
Outside:  - Terraced garden with patio area picnic table and BBQ.
- Adjacent lockable garage.
