Situated only 15 minutes leisurely walk from historic Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire, (a National Trust Property) in the conservation village of Rowthorne; Pear Tree Farm Barn offers first class five star self-catering accommodation, with two en suite bedrooms (one twin and one double), in a tranquil and picturesque setting. An ideal base for touring the Peak District National Park. - The detached stone barn is set to the side of Pear Tree Farm House, a grade 2 listed building. It overlooks beautiful open countryside where horses graze and there are views from the garden over Chesterfield.
- There are numerous walks, trails and cycle ways leading directly from the village.
- Local shops and 2 pubs / restaurants within walking distance, but close to major cities and shopping centres.
Accommodation
Expertly converted in 2003 providing luxury self catering accommodation for a maximum of 4: - The barn has a fully equipped, fully fitted kitchen, with microwave, electric cooker, extractor hood, fridge, kettle, toaster, oak cupboards, dishwasher, freezer and washer/dryer. There is a full complement of good quality utensils, cutlery, glasses and crockery.
- There is a spectacular 30' lounge/diner with vaulted ceiling and exposed king post trusses. Exposed stonework, a wood/solid fuel burning stove (for which there is an additional charge), 42" LCD TV, video, DVD and B&O stereo with mp3 connection.
 - The lounge has really comfortable leather furniture (some of which is antique), two rocking chairs and an oak dining table and chairs. Wall lights and feature spot lights create the mood and there is a selection of books, magazines, CD's and games to keep everyone happy.
- Free Wi-Fi connection.
- There are two en suite bedrooms.
- The ground floor suite has a luxury double bed, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers, a full length mirror, a hair dryer and a full window wall. TV and DVD player. The en-suite shower room has a double sized shower cubicle with power shower toilet and wash basin.
 - The loft suite is accessed from the staircase in the lounge and offers a twin bedroom, with wardrobe space, chest of drawers, bed side tables and TV. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet.
- The barn has fully automatic (oil fired) central heating (the cost is included in hire charge), with constant hot water all year.
- There are wooden floors throughout, with double glazing and insulated walls, floors and ceiling, making it lovely and warm on those winter nights.
- Off street parking is available for one vehicle.
- All linen, bedding & towels are included.
- There is a garden area, with lawn, a bench, tables and chairs for the sole use of guests.
- Broadband Internet Access available, Wi-Fi.
- Welcome Pack (tea, coffee, milk, bread) provided on arrival.
