Parkers Cottage is a Grade 11 listed circa 1700 farmhouse. The cottage has gritstone mullion windows to the front. The roofing flags sourced from Deepdale itself. There is a corbelled stone chimney to the South. The cottage is on a Beef and Sheep hill farm in South Cumbria. - Parkers Cottage has excellent views of Dentdale Valley and the western slopes of Whernside.
- The cottage is ideally situated as a base for a walking or cycling holiday, we have the Dales Way and the Roman Occupation Road nearby.
- Holiday makers are free to view lambing in the months of March and April. Pet lambs look forward to new friends.
- Dent is well known for its cobbled streets and 'terrible' knitters who were about in the 18th Century. Dent also has its own railway station - the highest in the UK. You can have a day out in Carlisle, Settle or Skipton. The village has 2 pubs, a Post Office, a village store, and much more.
The cottage has: 3 bedrooms - 1 double with en-suite shower room, 1 twin and 1 single. Bathroom with a shower over bath. Living room has a stone fireplace, colour TV receiving freesat. The dining kitchen has washer, fridge freezer, electric cooker and microwave. Facilities: - Central heating throughout.
- Bedding and linen provided. Double bed has a king sized duvet.
- All electric and heating included in price.
- We also provide spa treatments in the cottage.
Outside: - Parking for 3 cars at the side of the house.
We do not take pets and there is no smoking in the cottage. The cottage is a 5/10 min drive to the village of Dent. A £50 per week (non-refundable) deposit is required to secure booking; payable within a week of booking. We do not take credit cards. |
