This Georgian Cotswold stone cottage has been extensively renovated whilst still retaining its Cotswold charms.
Accommodation: Warm and inviting the cottage is entered via a small porch that takes you into the large lounge with big comfy sofas. Mullion leaded windows feature through out the cottage. There is an open fire for chilly evenings, TV and DVD, CD/radio/cassette player, lots of books, magazines and games to amuse. A bright dining room with seating for six leads out to a tranquil courtyard garden with patio furniture and outside lighting. The bespoke kitchen fitted by Cotteswood of Oxfordshire has a butler sink, granite work surfaces and a Rayburn cooker (also providing hot water and central heating) and is well equipped with all the necessary appliances, dishwasher, washing machine, multifunction microwave oven and grill and fridge freezer. Downstairs are a large double bedroom with pine country furniture and an additional toilet with hand basin and shaving point. On the first floor is the Master bedroom with king size Victorian style iron bedstead, antique pine and satinwood furniture, en-suite bathroom and flat screen TV. The second double bedroom also has a Victorian style brass and iron bedstead, a built in wardrobe and fitted bookshelves with small library. The Wet room by Fired Earth offers a luxurious showering experience. Toilet, power shower and Italian Marble wash bowl feature. - If your visit is a short break it is possible to park the car and spend your break in Stow entirely on foot. There are many places to eat, shops to browse and interesting buildings, including the Church St Edwards which has a door on its north side which resembles something from a fairytale (below).
- Surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodlands, rivers and streams, walking is a pleasure.
