Canterbury itself is a compact, historic and lively city, a World Heritage site with its beautiful Cathedral and ancient buildings dating back to Roman times. It has two universities, colleges, a popular theatre, shops and cultural activities of many kinds, cafes, pubs and restaurants, all set among medieval streets and pretty gardens, with the countryside never far away. With a central position in East Kent, it combines interest, convenience and relaxation, making an excellent base for holidays, short breaks, business and re-location rentals.
