Ordhill Cottage is a traditional Scottish stone cottage set in a peaceful forest clearing in Ordhill Forest on the Black Isle not far from Loch Ness and the Highland capital, Inverness.
  • A web of  footpaths and tracks lead straight from the door of the cottage, so if you want to get away from it all, walk the dog or simply watch the abundant bird and animal life then Ordhill is the place for you.
  • The varied forest wildlife is easily seen, even in the garden. Deer, red squirrels, pine martins etc. are present in the forest and are often seen from the cottage windows.
  • Down the hill through the forest is the seaside village of North Kessock where you will find shops, a post office, pubs and small restaurants. There is a dolphin information centre in the car park above the village where you can actually listen to the dolphins by way of underwater microphones. The dolphins are regularly seen in this part of the firth either from the shore or from the heights of the bridge.
Accommodation
  • Oil central heating ensures a cosy stay plus there is the additional comfort of an Aga in the kitchen. You will find cooking on the Aga easy and enjoyable.
  • There is also a log fire in the sitting room.
  • Your pets are welcome at Ordhill and the cottage garden is securely fenced so that they don't stray.
This is a true home in the wilderness and yet it is so close to all the amenities of Inverness just across the Kessock Bridge. The beauty of the Highlands are north along the A9.

Ordhill Cottage is the place to enjoy a truly peaceful, restful and interesting stay.
